Viscaya Parkway / Country Club Boulevard Improvement Project

Purpose
Under this project, the City of Cape Coral Transportation Department will construct roadway improvements along Viscaya Parkway / Country Club Boulevard from west of Del Prado Boulevard to Nicholas Parkway. Improvements being made as part of this project consist of median access management (new left turn lanes and curbing), removing asphalt (milling) and resurfacing Viscaya Parkway/Country Club Boulevard.

Schedule
This project is to begin July 2011 and is expected to be completed in early 2012. Please be advised that weather and other unforeseen circumstances may affect the construction schedule.

Landscaping program
The City of Cape Coral is pursuing private property owner’s interested in contributing to the cost associated with landscaping the medians on this construction project. Lane Closures
Periodic lane closures will occur throughout the duration of this project. Lane closures will occur nightly from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Work Zone Safety
For the safety of pedestrians, motorists and the construction workers, drivers are advised to
follow the posted speed limit of 35 mph and to drive with caution. Under Florida state law,
speeding fines are doubled in the work zone when workers are present.
